Texprocess 2026 – Trade fair report from Frankfurt am Main
- Location: Frankfurt am Main, Messe Frankfurt
- Date: 21.–24. April 2026
- Focus: efficient, flexible and sustainable manufacturing concepts for textile production.

Texprocess 2026 in Frankfurt – automation and textile production up close
Texprocess took place from 21 to 24 April 2026 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre and is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the processing of textile and flexible materials. Decision-makers, manufacturers and technology providers from across the industry showcased the latest innovations in cutting, sewing technology, automation and digital production processes.
ProCom Automation attended the event with a large team of visitors to observe the latest developments in automation and textile production, and to engage in direct dialogue with industry representatives.
A major trade fair featuring extensive professional dialogue
Even during the tour of the exhibition halls, it became clear just how extensive the Texprocess exhibition was. Numerous manufacturers demonstrated cutting and sewing systems live under production conditions, which quickly led to in-depth and technically informed discussions – far more than had been anticipated beforehand.
Particularly prominent were:
- automated cutting and sewing systems
- CAD/CAM and software solutions for textile production
- networked, digital production processes
- robotics in the manufacturing environment
Another striking feature was the matter-of-fact use of robotics in day-to-day life at the trade fair: a robot moved autonomously through the crowds of visitors – a clear sign of just how much automation has now become part and parcel of the industry.

Specific challenges in the spotlight
The conversations stood out for their strong practical focus. Concrete challenges from visitors’ daily operations took center stage – less about far-reaching future visions, more about real questions from everyday practice.
Several conversations quickly revealed how concrete the need is and how directly next steps could be derived from it. This direct, eye-level exchange made clear exactly what challenges the industry is currently facing.
Focus on transparency
A key finding from the discussions was that many companies struggle less with a lack of understanding of technology than with a lack of transparency and a multitude of systems running in parallel. This is precisely where ProCom Automation’s solutions come in.
A Compact Market with Familiar Faces
Texprocess demonstrated once again just how small the industry actually is: you come across the same faces at almost every trade fair. The market for textile manufacturing technology is therefore smaller than assumed.
Conclusions on Texprocess 2026
Texprocess 2026 demonstrated just how practical and tangible the challenges currently facing the textile industry are – and how clearly transparency and system integration are emerging as key issues for the sector.
For ProCom Automation, the visit was particularly valuable as it provided a first-hand insight into current market requirements and enabled the company to tailor its own product development even more precisely to the real-world needs of the textile industry.
